Horticulture Mission for North East and Himalayan States (HMNEH)
The Centrally Sponsored Scheme of HMNEH has been implemented since 2003–04 for holistic horticultural development through a cluster approach ensuring forward and backward linkages.

The Journey That Changed Everything
we helped transform regional potential into national recognition—empowering farmers and celebrating the state’s rich horticulture heritage
Shri Chandan Singh progressive farmer of Dabbage crop. Mr. Singh was growing Cabbage crop since last 3 years with traditional method and there was no irrigation facility. Department of horticulture suggested him to establish Micro sprinkler system with 55% subsidy. The farmer established Micro sprinkler system in his field. In the result he got his increased crop productivity of 1.2%. Now he is very happy with this scheme.
Shri Soban Singh traditionly grow peach crop in his field since last 5 years. In the year 2020-21 department convinced him to create drip in his field so that he can increase his production and productivity. Shri Singh established 0.40 ha drip irrigation in his field and got much more production.
